The Holiday Gift Box Project, a major annual effort of SA CARES, has been improving the holidays of
children and adults affected by HIV/AIDS in our community for over 14 years. We want to bring an
especially successful project to our clients this year. At CARES, we do our best to ensure that our
clients have access to good medical care, medications, housing, food, and the all important human
touch all year long. As the holiday arrives, we want to make the season special for them. Our goal is
to provide a gift box for 250 clients and families, many of whom are living on fixed incomes and cannot
afford the things that we may take for granted. These gift boxes will help ease their financial hardships
and will send a message of support and good will. Essential items like household products in each box
will help our clients stretch their budgets to meet other costs like winter heating.
